Fiona has been a lecturer and senior lecturer working on undergraduate and post graduate social work qualifying and other post graduate programmes. This has predominantly been on the south coast of England and recently has taught on an undergraduate and post graduate programme. She has in depth knowledge of the Step Up to Social Work programme having been the Regional coordinator for 2 cohorts of SUTSW students in the south west England regional partnership 1 (Department for Education).
Fiona has particular interest teaching. Areas of her specialism are: critical reflect practice; communication with children; child development; social work models and methods; professional leadership; values and ethics and anti-oppressive practice and relationship-based practice.
Seaspace is happy to develop and coordinate conferences and seminars for social workers, social work educators; practice educators with universities and local authorities.
Recently Fiona developed and lead a second Celebratory Conference for a Step Up to Social Work regional partnership.
